Who We Are
Since 1956, the American Institute of Architecture Students has been the voice of students to the educational system and the profession of architecture and design in North America–and beyond. The association helps to build interest and enrich the educational experience of students (of all ages) and others in architecture and design.
The UNLV chapter of the American Institute of Architecture Students has been active since 1988 and has managed to become stronger, more exciting and more organized with each year. We are the ultimate source for architecture students (or those just interested in the field) to connect, network and grow with other peers pursuing the same goal.
The 2011-2012 UNLV AIAS chapter has several very exciting events throughout the year, including (but not limited to):
- Klai Juba Lecture Series
- Firm visits and project tours
- Leadership Opportunities for Students
- A Mentorship Program connecting students and professionals
- Freedom by Design projects
- Rendering and Portfolio workshops
- Student Art and Photography exhibits
- Opportunities to purchase chapter t-shirts and pullover sweaters
- AIAS West Quad conferences held in Albuquerque , NM (Fall) and Spokane, WA (Spring)
- AIAS National Forum in Phoenix, AZ
- Attend the monthly Slide Slam, hosted by Assemblage Studio
- Take part in AIA Design charettes and awards ceremony… and so much more!
